Douglas Hick; Managing director
Doug started as a carpenter and joiner twenty years ago. His love of old properties and unusual designs led him to gain the appropriate skills and knowledge in these specialised areas. Employing likeminded craftsmen meant the exacting standards he set in the beginning are maintained throughout every aspect of the building works today.

He enjoys challenging work and creating designs that are unique to each individual client. It is important to him that the designs suit the client and the surrounding environment. Not locked in the past, we are happy to take traditional designs and develope them further, or use classic materials and methods in a contempory way. Ability, honesty, trustworthiness and reliability are hallmarks Doug laid down as the ethos for the company. We are proud of the team we have today.

Michael Middlebrook; Architect and designer
Mike trained as an architect and qualified in 1982. He specialises in interior architecture and design. Mike would be working closely with you to achieve the home of your dreams. He uses his knowledge and experience to provide you with ideas and styles that would not normally be found in a domestic setting, whilst keeping it strictly within your budget. With attention to detail Mike can design everything from the structure itself to joinery, cabinetry and furniture.

Mike has also worked in the commercial sector designing restaurants, hotels, shops and offices. Each business strives to stand out and therefore pushes the boundaries of design and use of cutting edge materials. This knowledge massively increases the options within your design compared to that normally available.

Mike Bannister; Site manager
Mike previously worked for a traditional building company where he trained in every aspect of the job. Mike assists in the co ordination of our work and liaising with our clients on site. He is in charge of our teams on site, and plays a vital role in communication and management.

Paul Monk; Foreman and head of brickwork
At 52 Paul has a wealth of experience, from restoration to new build, Paul has worked in stone and flint as well as brick in all bonds, on stately homes, listed buildings and new build, as a bricklayer, site agent and foreman. His work includes brick sewers, barrel vaulted cellars, wells and herring bone brickwork set within oak framing. Paul is the last of a rare breed.
